Protected Areas vs. Highway Construction—Problem of Environmental Pollution
نویسندگان
چکیده
Landscape parks are protected areas, attractive to live close and relax in. In parks, economic agricultural activities allowed a limited extent. The high interest in these areas is the cause of unfavorable changes, including environmental contamination. This paper presents results soil quality research Wzniesienia Łódzkie Park (Poland). analyses were performed 2008, before construction highway park began, after its completion 2016. contents Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd Ni determined by flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS). descriptive statistics, principal component analysis (PCA), cluster (CA), geographic information system (GIS) used assess impact different sources on content metal soil. Over period 8 years, there has been an increase pH level metals, especially nickel. changes result from land use, abandonment activity emissions related A1 highway.

Modeling environmental factors on vegetation destruction in protected areas
Over the past two decades, degradation damage has increased in natural ecosystems. This research focuses solely on the degradation of soil and vegetation cover in Sorkheh Eshpar National Park. For this purpose, some physical properties of the soil (specific gravity and true porosity, moisture content, a percentage of pebbles, acidity and conductivity and soil texture) were measured. Also, the d...

Wild life: The elusive fosa (Cryptoprocta ferox) is the top predator in the dry deciduous forests of Madagascar, but very little was known about its biology until the 1990s. The presence of volunteer groups studying its role in the forest’s ecology has also helped to protect its habitat. (Photo: Earthwatch/ Luke Dollar.) The world’s latest national park has just been created in the east of Russ...

human activities often adversely affect natural landscapes and ecosystems. natural landscapes consist of habitats, and habitat loss and fragmentation are major threats to biodiversity. environmental impact assessment (eia)as a systematic and well documented procedure to identify, describe and assess the direct and indirect effects of a developmental project in different environments does not co...
متن کاملMapping of Environmental Pollution in Urban Areas with Gis
Environmental pollution in urban areas has resulted in the design of monitoring and decision-making systems. These systems are supported by the information systems that can manage spatial dynamics of pollution processes. Due to a wide range of data, which are necessary for modeling of spatio-temporal phenomena, new methods of data collection and management have to be created. This paper describ...
